H
ollywood couldn't have
scripted a better finish to
the SCORE World Desert
Championship as two teams went
into the finale tied in points for the
Pro Motorcycle Unlimited class
crown, each having two wins and
two second-place finishes in the
previous four rounds.
Thus, it boiled down to a very
simple premise: whichever beat
the other at the season-ending
47th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000
earned the championship, plain
and simple.
But the way it played out was
far from plain and simple for the
two title contenders: THR Motor-
sports/Bonanza Plumbing/Pre-
cision Concepts Kawasaki with
riders Robby Bell, Ricky Brabec,
Max Eddy, Jr., and Steve Hen-
geveld, and WFOx Motorsports
Honda's trio of Mark Samuels,
Colton Udall and Ian Young.
Both teams went at it hard
for the entire 1275 miles from
STREAK BREAKERS
AND HISTORY MAKERS!
