Shirey was frustrated to lose
such a big lead, and explained
why he was unable to recover
after the incident with the lapper.
"Some lapper pushed me out
into the bushes and I fell over,"
Shirey lamented. "Then I got
back up and took off and I fell
over and that's when my leg start-
ed hurting. Yesterday I played
a football game and someone
landed on my leg, and after that
crash, every little bump was start-
ing to hurt really bad."
Shirey had to settle for third
overall, and second place in the
Pro II class ahead of third-place
Rowan Trefz.

bosa just missed the Pro II po-
dium, but was still able to clinch
the championship with his fourth-
place finish at the Prospectors
GP.
"Just another day in paradise!"
Barbosa exclaimed. "The condi-
tions were amazing this weekend
– couldn't ask for better weather.
I wrapped up the championship
in Pro II so I'm really excited about
Intermediate rider
Chance Fullerton
finished a strong
second in the West
Coast GP 200 class
and went on to capture
the Lightweight II win
on Sunday.
