Champion ran wide and dropped
back. Hernandez had passed the
fast-fading Dovizioso two laps from
the end. Dovizioso was losing five
seconds a lap, and was lucky to stay
two seconds clear of Hector Bar-
bera on the Avintia Ducati for eighth.
Aoyama's indiscretion (he blamed
dehydration after his drinks system
blocked) plus a crash on lap seven
for his teammate Nicky Hayden
