IN THE WIND P32 THE ADELANTO GP RETURNS TO TOWN A fter several years of declin- ing participation and a move out of city limits, AMA D-27 and the Big 6 P Series is bringing the Adelanto Grand Prix back to the streets of Adelanto, Califor- nia, in 2015. The race will kickoff the 2015 Big 6 GP Series on January 2-4 and be held on the grounds of Heritage Field at Stater Broth- ers Stadium, home of the Mav- ericks baseball team. Expect part of the racecourse to ven- ture onto the field, as well as onto some of the streets in the heart of Adelanto. Plans include a variety of obstacles as well as the fast course that Big 6 GPs are known for. Besides the stadium, racers can expect to ride plenty of open desert, some pavement and maybe even Adelanto's infa- mous mud-hole jump. For Saturday night, SoCal Motorcycle Club officials (the club responsible for putting on this race) are working to show the season-opening Anaheim 1 Supercross on the big screen. Camping will be available, and vendors will be on hand as well. Pre-registration opens at the beginning of November. AMA membership is required, and both AMA and D-37 cards will be available on-site for those who like to wait until the last minute. AMA D-37 and the Big 6 GP Series hopes to breathe new life into the Adelanto Grand Prix in 2015.
