Briefly...
Trey Canard almost didn't even suit
up for the MEC. "I wasn't even sure
I was going to race," Canard said af-
terward. "I had a really big crash dur-
ing the week and it was tough. Plus,
last night, my wife got sick and we
were in the ER till late in the night, so
it was a tough week, but, man, this
capped it off and made it a lot bet-
ter."
Speaking of Trey Canard, he had a
lot of time to think about the one mil-
lion dollars. He and the rest of the
racers had to wait on the starting
line for quite some time while track
maintenance was being performed
before the final race of the night.
"I think it was a scheme!" Canard
joked. "They wanted us to wait there
so I could sweat it out! I just tried to
think about what I needed to do and
let the rest take care of itself. I actu-
ally had a pretty good start; a couple
of guys ran it in pretty hard and I al-
most went down. I went in way too
hot. But, hey, I was going for it, I was
going for the win. I'll try to get them
next time. I can't complain, it was a
great weekend."
Justin Hill was so impressive on the
450 that many people were asking,
why doesn't he stay on the 450 full
time? "That's been the conversation
all week," he said. "I really like the
450. I like how I can finesse it and
ride it a lower rpm's in higher gears,
and that's just my style. I'm going
back to the little bike. The big bike,
I love it, but I'm excited about get-
ting back on the little bike where I
belong for now, that's what my deal
states and that's what I'm going to
carry and do the best that I can." Hill

I
t's been seemingly forever since we've last seen Davi Mill-
saps on the track, or on the podium for that matter, but we
saw both after a dramatic win by the number-18 Kawasaki
at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas. Millsaps' last race
was also in Las Vegas but at the final round of the 2013
Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, where the veter-
an racer finished off the season headed by just one rider—
Ryan Villopoto, the man he's replacing on his new team.
At that time, Millsaps rode a KTM for the Rockstar Energy
