T
he top riders in Enduro-
Cross might make the
daunting courses look
deceptively easy, with few to no
mistakes throughout an entire
night as they put together flaw-
less laps and turned obstacles
into doubles. But then they throw
in a track like the one in Everett,
Washington, and it reminds us
how tough EnduroCross really is.
It seems the technical course
at the XFINITY Arena drew out
all the mistakes and misfortune
that have been missing from the
previous rounds and it was Endu-
roCross of old, where anything
can, and did, happen in the main
event.
Although the animated Pacific
Northwest crowd certainly got
their share of thrills, the tough
course and unpredictable racing
in Everett spelled frustration for
Taddy Blazusiak, Colton Haaker
and Cody Webb—the three rid-
ers locked in a white-knuckle
battle for the championship.
With only a handful of points
separating the three, the chal-
lenge is to carry on the intensity
while minimizing the mistakes—a
task that proved to be nearly im-
possible in Everett.
The top three who have domi-
nated the podium round after
round, all had their share of
crashes at round seven of the
GEICO AMA EnduroCross Se-
