Kyle Redmond was once again ab-
sent from EnduroCross; the EverRev
KTM rider sat out the third round in
a row after suffering a concussion at
the Denver round.
The Women's class saw another big
win for Husqvarna's Sandra Gomez.
The Spanish rider overtook Morgan
Tanke for the lead in the first lap and
never looked back en route to her
second consecutive win. Tanke held
on for second while Melissa Harten
rounded out the podium aboard her
Gas Gas. Everett marked Harten's
first-ever podium finish.
The Pacific Northwest round brought
out a number of familiar faces: Kevin
Rookstool, Jamie Lanza and for-
mer EnduroCross champion Ricky
Dietrich all came out to race in Ev-
erett. It marked the third round of the
season for Dietrich, who also raced
the Las Vegas opener and the Sacra-
mento round. Rookstool and Lanza
hadn't raced EnduroCross since X
Games in Austin, Texas, and both
riders made it into the main event in
Washington.
DA8 Training Facility star student
Cooper Abbott is coming along
quite well in the EnduroCross ranks.
The 16-year-old once again qualified
in the Amateur and Pro ranks, but
his shining moment in Everett might
have been his afternoon hot lap. A
fumble by Destry Abbott during his
run allowed Cooper to edge out his
dad by one tenth of a second in the
afternoon qualifiers.
