himself the one and only six-time
OMA champ.
The N-Fab/AmPro Yamaha
star kicked things off by getting
another of his seemingly patent-
ed rocket starts to pick up the
$100 FMF Holeshot Award fol-
lowed closely by Thomas, four-
time OMA champ Jimmy Jarrett
and the rest of the field.
My Own Race:
44 JIMMY JARRETT 5TH PRO/24TH O/A
After running third early on, Jimmy Jarrett slipped back
and eventually pulled off to end up fifth in class and 24th
overall aboard his JJR Off-Road/Silkolene/Moose KTM
450 XC-F. "My bike started vibrating real bad and I thought
maybe I was losing a motor," he said. "I was just trying to
limp it around and it was finally to the point I didn't think it
was going to make another lap, so I pulled in and kind of
looked it over and realized I'd lost all my motor mount bolts!
I didn't want to go back out without them and risk some-
thing breaking."
27 CODY BOLLINGER 2ND PRO 2/5TH O/A
Asked about his race-long battle with eventual Pro 2 win-
ner Mark Heresco, Fun Mart Cycles/Lakewood Electric/
G2 Ergonomics YZ250-mounted Cody Bollinger replied,
"It was fun; I always love a good battle. We kind of had the
same pace going and we were kind of waiting it out to push
the last couple laps. He got the better of me, Mark did."
After a recent spat of bike
problems, Adam Bonneur enjoyed
a trouble-free ride and finished a
best-to-date second overall.
