OFF ROAD KENDA AMA NATIONAL ENDURO SERIES FINAL ROUND/SEPTEMBER 14, 2014 UPLAND, INDIANA P88 "I think this just shows I'm ready," said Bobbitt. "Mike got off to a quick start in those first three tests and I was riding a little tight. But in the long fourth test, I just put the hammer down and finished out the day from there." Like DeLong, Bobbitt received his bike just before the start of the season and is still trying to adapt to a new brand and also adapt to a four-stroke. "I was feeling better and bet- ter on the bike as the day went on and I felt that confidence start coming back," said Bobbitt. "I'm still kind of new to this bike and I'll continue to get more comfortable on it in the future." Lafferty, on the other hand, is looking to other things in his future and was making his final ride as a professional racer in In- diana. That realization struck the New Jersey rider in the final test. "It was tough, I'm not going to lie," said Lafferty. "It was real emotional and it was hard to hold it back the last three or four miles, it seemed like an eternity, but I just hunkered down and rode it in. Once I fell on the road, I backed it down. Knowing it was Grant Baylor, winner of the previous round, just missed making the podium.
