DeLong's championship win was the culmination of a series of highs and lows throughout the season, as the Factory Rac- ing Husqvarna rider got off to a slow start to the season when the team received their bikes just days before the start of the sea- son, leaving them with not much time for testing and preparation. Craig DeLong, younger brother of Andrew DeLong, won the Rekluse Expert-AA championship and the $1000 first place prize that went with it.
