WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 10/SEPTEMBER 7, 2014
JEREZ CIRCUIT/JEREZ, SPAIN
P54
near full lean.
Chaz Davies showed just how
much progress the formerly trou-
blesome but increasingly consis-
tent and potent Ducati Panigale
works bike has become.
Third in race one, only 4. 2
seconds from the win, and fourth
in a hotter race two, by only 7.7
seconds, were two more than
positive results.
"It was a better result than I
thought I could get coming in
here," said Davies. "I feel our
limitation is just grip. When that
goes the turning goes and the
bike gets harder to ride. It is more
physical. We had the pace to win
at Laguna and we have picked
things up here again. I think last
year I was 25 seconds off the win
here and I was less than five off
in the first race and just seven in
race two. That is good progress."
Giugliano (34) was fast but erratic.
He crashed in race one and suffered
a mechanical in race two. Chaz
Davies (7) had a good day on the
Panigale, finishing third and fourth.
