EDWARDS FINISHES IT OFF

olin Edwards led off the famous auction for Riders for Health's
Day of Champions at Silverstone in advance of the British
Grand Prix. The event, which is the Riders For Health's biggest
annual benefit for Africa. It was a poignant day for Edwards, who
has announced his retirement. "Behind every strong man is a
stronger woman," Edwards said. "I've enjoyed racing in Europe
for 20 years and Alyssia has always been with me."
The Riders For Health day at Silverstone raised $302,996.

NCC Champion Kailub Rus-
sell plans to raffle off a fully
prepped Factory FMF KTM Race
Team 150XC to help offset his
costs of traveling to and compet-
ing in the upcoming ISDE in Ar-
gentina. Some of the money will
also help fund more ongoing spi-
nal injury rehabilitation for Rus-
sell's good friend Rory Mead.
Russell hopes to race the bike
at the final two GNCC rounds of
the year if the 2014 series leader
clinches the title early. Afterward,
the KTM will be fully refurbished
and delivered to the raffle winner.
Other prizes being raffled in-
clude: one set of Thor riding gear
(pants, jersey, gloves, valued at
$500); choice of a free DirtWise
"Ready to Race" bike rental at a
GNCC or National Enduro, or a
free spot in a two-day DirtWise
Riding School (valued at $400); a
signed Kailub Russell custom #1
race jersey, and a signed Shane
Watts custom jersey.
Purchase price of the tickets are
$20 for one ticket, $50 for three
tickets, $100 for 10 tickets, and
are available either in person at the
FMF KTM Factory team pit area at
the last three GNCC races or on-
line at www.shanewatts.com.
The drawing will be conducted
on the finish podium at the last
round of the 2014 GNCC series
at Crawfordsville, Indiana, on
Sunday, October 26 2014.
This raffle is open to all people
worldwide, with all five prizes be-
ing delivered immediately follow-
ing the drawing date to the rel-
evant winners.
