The fans seemed very pleased with Canard leading the way and gave him the loudest cheers of the day. "I could hear the fans cheer- ing me on," Canard would say. "It gave me a big boost. He said getting out front early made all the differ- ence. "Really it was just a clear track," Canard said when asked how he found so much speed in the sec- ond moto.
