that allowed Cooper to slingshot
around me and around Savatgy," said
Martin. "I just rode calm and worked
to the front."
Martin moved into second on lap
eight of the 16-lap race, taking over
when GEICO Honda's Justin Bogle
crashed. From there, Martin set his
sights on Webb, but the youngster
was too far gone.
"I definitely wanted to win the second moto," said Martin.
"It crossed my mind that I had the overall [anyway], but I
wanted to put in a push there at the end to get in front. I got
close, but it just wasn't close enough."
With four rounds remaining, Martin holds a comfort-
able 43-point lead over Webb in the series standings, with
Baggett dropping to third another 13 points back.
MUSQUIN FEELING BETTER
Marvin Musquin matched his best finish of the season at
Millville, going 2-4 for second overall. The Red Bull KTM

Webb prevented his
Yamalube/Star Racing
Yamaha teammate,
Martin, from winning
both motos.
