Millville race was supposed to be
another showdown between the
two, but it never really panned
out that way.
Martin went 1-2 for the overall
win, while Baggett struggled with

Pourcel. After the Millville race,
Musquin addressed the decision. "It
was good for me and Pourcel to get
second and third in that first moto,
I think it proves something," said
Musquin. "Last year I had my best
season of my career, I got second
in the Supercross series and third in
the outdoor series, and I didn't get
picked for the team. So now I am
living and racing in the U.S. and the
French team, they want to pick rid-
ers who ride the GPs, but I am kind
of bummed because they didn't talk
to me and I don't think they talked to
Christophe."
After his win, Eli Tomac talked about
why he sat out this year's outdoors
series for so long for a broken collar-
bone that was considered a relatively
minor injury. He broke it in early May
and missed the first four rounds of
the outdoor series. "It was a bummer
because there wasn't a real clear an-
swer for that injury, because it was
just barely broken and we had three
or four doctors tell us not to plate it,"
said Tomac. "So it wasn't that bad,
but in my gut, I didn't feel like plating
it was the right thing to do. So we just
let it heal on its own."
Andrew Short, on the BTO Motor-
sports KTM, went 9-7 for seventh
overall. "My first moto was so-so, I
was really slow in the sand whoops,
that was definitely my weak point,"
said Short. "Moto two, the gate
didn't drop for me. I was fortunate
that they red flagged it, because I
was way back. I actually hit the gate,
because I went when everyone else
did. So on the restart, I had a really
bad start, but I charged really hard
and came back to seventh. That was
one of my best rides of the year."

issue ultimately did him in at the

finished fourth in the first moto
after coming back from 18

the opening lap.
In the second moto, Baggett
led early but crashed and
dropped out of the top 10, and
then had his motor let go, which
led to his second DNF of the
season.
In the end, it was Martin who
prevailed.
"It was a great day here in
Minnesota and there's nothing
like waking up and riding in your
back yard," said Martin.
The first 250 moto was all
Martin, the Yamalube/Star Rac-
ing Yamaha rider taking the lead
from Christophe Pourcel on lap
two and pulling way.
The second moto was a little
more difficult for Martin, but he
still managed a second behind
his teammate Cooper Webb.
"I got a bad start and I caught
up with Joey Savatgy and I just
couldn't get around him, and
