MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS SERIES ROUND 7/JULY 12, 2014 BUDDS CREEK RACEWAY/MECHANICSVILLE, MARYLAND P56 season, leading every lap in the process, his 2-1 performance giv- ing him the overall win. "It's good to get a win and to get out front and lead every lap," said Dungey. "I know Ken has a little bit of a lead in the standings, and we didn't gain any points today, so it's going to take more than swapping motos, but I think we're going in a better direction and we know what we've got to do." Trying to explain the differ- ence between his performance in Maryland versus the one last week at RedBud, Dungey said it was mostly suspension changes. "Last week at RedBud was definitely a little bit of a struggle, and it was kind of my fault," said Dungey. Still, Roczen says he's happy with how things are going and if Budds Creek is the worst he does all year then he thinks that things are right on track for him. "Not every moto can be awe- some," said Roczen. "I feel I've been going at a consistent pace the last few races. But in the second moto, after the first lap, I stuck my foot in the ground and I hit something right on the inside of my knee and it hurt really bad. That took my breath away for a couple of laps and that allowed Ryan to get quite a good gap on me. "I struggled on some parts of the track," said Roczen. "It took some patience to ride this track and you had to be smart, and to- This time, Ken Roczen (94) couldn't hold off his teammate Dungey (5), but no damage was done in the championship for the points leader.
