Robby Bell gave Robert a run for the
win in the final laps of the race, as he
closed the gap on Robert, but Bell
went down in the final lap when he
hit a rock, which virtually ended any
chance of him catching Robert in
the final lap, but Bell's second place
gained him some valuable points on
Gary Sutherlin in the championship.
Sutherlin finished in seventh place,
which allowed Bell to close the gap
to just 11 points.
"I really wanted to beat Taylor be-
cause I really respect him and his
speed," Bell said. "I closed the gap
on him heading into the last lap, but
I was getting kind of antsy and threw
the bike in a little hot and clipped a
rock on the inside of the rut with the
frame. It was enough force to pop the
back end up over and I slid out. I still
tried to push it and see if maybe he
made a mistake, but he held it, I still
had a great race with a second-place
finish and closed the points gap on
Gary for the championship."
Precision Concept's Justin Seeds
secured his third straight podium fin-
ish with a third-place finish. Seeds
got off to a sixth-place start, but he
started picking off racers and moved
into the third spot in the final laps of
the race, as he held it wide open
over the jumps in the high-speed off-
road section.
