Robert got a great jump out
of the gate as he grabbed the
holeshot ahead of his teammate
Ramirez. Robert, aboard a 450
KTM, appeared to be right at
home on the big machine, as he
clicked off impressive lap times,
lap after lap, and he only lost the
lead briefly when he made a pit
stop, but he quickly got it back
the following lap.
"It worked great, I basically led
start to finish, Robby was ahead
of me one lap when I pitted, oth-
er than that it was good," Robert
said. "I really haven't spent that
much time on my 450 because
I've been focusing so much on
EnduroCross, but I'm going to
ride my 450 a lot this summer and
hopefully just keep improving."
The high-speed race took its
toll on Robert's hands, however.
They blistered up in the final laps
of the race, which allowed Bell to
close the gap to eight seconds,
but Robert held on to secure the
win. He's now won every WORCS
race that he has attended since
June of 2012.
