LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 51 ISSUE 27 JULY 8, 2014 P53 Eli's Coming In just his second ride aboard a 450 in the outdoor series, Eli Tomac improved on last week's third-place finish by going 4-2 for second overall at RedBud, the GEICO Honda rider crediting a setup change for his improved results. "Today went even better than last weekend in Tennessee," Tomac said. "First moto came around and I got a top-five start and was battling with Dungey, Canard, and Roczen the whole race. He moved to the United States in 2011 to compete in the Lucas Oil Pro Moto- cross Championship. Despite his impressive performance for the overall win, Ken Roczen said he didn't get off to the best start dur- ing qualifying. "I actually struggled a bit in first practice," said Roczen. "I think that track might have been a little weird for me because it was wet with a hard base. So I made a little change the bike that made it some- what easy on me; it was a change in the right direction. I don't know, I guess it just clicked." "It was a tough day," said James Stewart of his not-so-great day. "I felt good coming into the weekend and we had a lot of speed in practice. continued on next page
