ing me up huge, and I couldn't
figure out where he was getting
me. But my team was able to tell
me where he was getting me. I
knew I needed to make the jump
and so I sent it."
After making the line adjust-
ment and doing the double,
Martin was able to keep Baggett
at bay, and the Yamaha rider fin-
ished the first moto about a sec-
ond ahead of the Kawi rider, as
the two front-runners finished the
moto with a full 45-second gap
over third.
In the second moto, Martin
found himself in second place
behind GEICO Honda's Justin
Bogle.
"I had one heck of a battle with
Bogle and he was determined at
all costs to stay in front of me,"
said Martin. "He did everything
he could, but unfortunately I think
RedBud got the best of him and
he took a soil sample."
On lap five, Bogle washed the
front end and went down. A short
time later, Martin's teammate
Cooper Webb was able to make
a pass for the lead.
"Copper got around me and as
soon as he got around me I saw
he was taking some of my lines,"
