looked strong in the early stages of the
race but couldn't pull away from Haaker. All
this was much to the delight of the partisan
crowd that was cheering on the two North-
ern California natives.
On the third lap, Haaker saw his opportuni-
ty and made his move. The Honda CRF450R
rider pulled alongside Webb's Beta and was
able to make a textbook block pass on Webb
for the lead while the two exited the track's
