otocross racers from as far away
as Nevada and Arizona dusted off
their finest classic machinery in
time for the SoCal Vintage Motocross Clas-
sic at Glen Helen Raceway. The 5
th
annual
event put on by Scott Burnworth is quickly
becoming the largest vintage motocross
event of the year, and saw racers, legends,
celebs and even current pros come out for
a full day of racing, reminiscing, bike shows
and barbecues.
Racers were greeted by beautiful weath-
er and mild temperatures, much like the
conditions at the Glen Helen AMA Pro Mo-
tocross National only weeks earlier. But
unlike the national, the course was tamed
down and in some cases, flattened out to

the start of the
Arizona versus
California race.
