ding answered: "I think Marc VDS
is the best team in Moto2, especially
for a young rider, I made the same
step and can't imagine a better place
to be. I think Miller is a little bit of a
wild guy, so they can make him more
mature. They had me before, so
they'll know what to do," he laughed.
"Maybe with me it was a bit more
difficult, but it'd be good see him in
Moto2. I think he'll be fast as Jonas
Folger is in his first season. Jack will
be a good competitor."
Valentino Rossi added his voice.
"I think Miller is very fast, and one
of his strong points is corner entry,
because he has good control of the
bike and the brakes on the edge. I
think he's a good guy and I like him.
Well, I also have him as a rival for our
team. I hope Romano Fenati can
fight with him for the title at the last
race."

Yamaha's new non-factory chassis
has not solved all of Colin Edwards's
problems and teammate Aleix Es-
pargaro has stayed with the Yamaha
unit. Delays in arrival of the planned
FTR chassis forced Yamaha to pro-
vide chassis and swingarm for the
start of this season. This finally ar-
rived at Mugello, with FTR involved in
the construction, but design handled
by ex-FTR founder Mark Taylor, the
project headed by team technical
manager Sergio Verbena. Plans to
copy Yamaha's chassis floundered
on several levels, including a lack of
detailed technical information and
the difficulty in obtaining the correct
grade of aluminum outside of Ja-
pan. Then there was Edwards's view
that the Yamaha chassis was too
