A
fter winning - and then
not winning - the AMA Pro
Vance & Hines Harley-Da-
vidson Series opener at Daytona,
KWR/Millennium Technologies'
Kyle Wyman came into round two
at Road America on a mission.
Motivated by his late DQ after
seemingly taking his third Day-
tona victory in four years, Wyman
was determined to climb atop the
podium in Wisconsin. However,
that would be no mean feat with
the likes of 2013 champ and race
winner Steve Rapp, Daytona
winner Tyler O'Hara, and former
champ and Road America winner
Danny Eslick to contend with.
In the race's early stages,
Rapp and Eslick were the ones
to watch.
Rapp, who won at Elkhart
Lake last season despite missing
a day of practice and qualifying
while working his airline pilot gig,
took the early lead. The Subur-
ban Motors ace railed around the
Carousel and opened up 15 bike
lengths on the pack over the cir-
cuit's back half. But the chasing
pack of O'Hara, Wyman, Eslick,
and Rapp's teammate, Ben Carl-
son, worked together in the draft
and closed back in by the time
they arrived at the Carousel again
only to repeat the cycle.
