VANCE & HINES HARLEY-DAVIDSON SERIES dove under Rapp entering turn one on lap four of seven. Rapp's race would end mo- ments later, as he crashed while surrounded by the lead pack. His fall forced Josh Chisum Racing/ Bartels H-D's O'Hara wide in the process, which left Eslick, Wyman, and Carlson in a three-man fight for the win - or so it seemed. O'Hara, who came into Road America extra sharp following his experience riding a Superbike during the Superbike Shootout, stormed back into contention from 3.5 seconds back. The four were back in tight formation by the race's final lap when Wyman registered the contest's decisive maneuvers. "I was seeing red, basically," Wyman said. "I had a lot of time to think about Daytona. So far I'm two-for-two on crossing the line first, so I'll take that. Hopefully, this one stands. I'm really happy to have redeemed myself in that fashion. It was a pretty fun race. A lot of crashing - well, one crash, but it was a lot of crashing for that one crash. There was a lot go- ing on. Steve [Rapp] really hit the deck hard. I'm just really happy to get up here for Millennium Tech- nologies at their home race, and to redeem myself from Daytona, and get maximum points." Carlson went from first to fourth back to third on the final lap, crossing the stripe .157 of a second off the win and .165 ahead of O'Hara to earn his sec- ond-consecutive podium result at his home race.
