Lead rider Aleix Espargaro

switched to the new frame, after
complaining of difficulty in getting
the original chassis to turn.
At first, anyway, the switch
made little difference, however,
to his performance: qualifying
18th and finishing 15th.
Meanwhile, Edwards, who
announced his retirement at the

BOU BOUNCES BACK
R
epsol Honda's Toni Bou's losing streak didn't last long,
the multi-time World Champion bouncing back to form
to score victory in the Grand Prix of Italy in Alagna Valsesia.
Bou scored the win over Gas Gas' Adam Raga, the man
who led him in the championship coming into the round
held in the mountains some 60 miles north of Milan. Vic-
tory for Bou moved him back to the top of the champion-
ship standings by a single point.
"This is a fantastic result for both myself and the team,"
Bou said. "After losing 19 on my first lap I knew I could
improve and the single figure scores from the second and
third laps speak for themselves. The hazards were very
slippery today, which I think was because of the moisture
in the air due to the high altitude but we coped well with
this. Now I have the lead in the championship. I will focus
on increasing this as we move to the next round in Belgium
after a short break from the championship."
Sherco's Albert Cabestany finished third behind Bou
and Raga in the Italian round. He is third in the champion-
ship – 27 points behind Bou.
Toni Bou bounced back from a recent
loss to win the Italian Grand Prix.

again manage the U.S. ISDE team.
"Our Trophy team is a strong, experienced team
that will work well together toward our goal of win-
ning the World Trophy," Kallonen said. "Despite
our loss of Team Captain Kurt Caselli, our team is
motivated and ready to step up and win for Kurt.
Kurt, along with his dad, was the most influential
person to push the AMA-led effort and the U.S.
team to the next level. This year's race being in
South America means there is no home advantage
