me back on the third-to-last
corner and I got him back in
the final corner."
Delong put forth a solid ride
to capture fifth place for the
day. XC1 Pro-class rookie Ja-
son Thomas secured seventh
place in the class, followed by
JCR Honda's Chris Bach in
seventh.
Two-time GNCC Champion
and N-Fab AmPro Yamaha
rider Paul Whibley finished
eighth in the XC1 class, after a
third-turn crash held him back
in the opening laps. Whibley
is also still recovering from a
severely bruised sternum that
was sustained during a prac-
tice crash last month.
