Mullins admitted that he
doesn't remember too much af-
ter his crash, but the Ohio-native
later commented, "I did what I
had to do to salvage some points
for the day," where he now holds
a seven-point lead over Russell in
the championship standings.
The real excitement came just
beyond the first two positions as
N-Fab AmPro Yamaha's Jordan
Ashburn and Factory Husqvar-
na's Andrew Delong headed up
a three-way battle for the third-
place spot. In addition to a few
other riders, the duo was joined
by Rocky Mountain ATV MC/N-
Fab AmPro Yamaha's Josh Strang
near the end of the six-lap race.
Strang didn't get off to a favor-
able start, just inside the top 10
on the opening lap, but he soon
pushed his way toward the front.
"I screwed up the first couple
laps, I'm not really sure what re-
ally happened," Strang said. "I
think the rocks put me off a little
bit and I was a little too cautious
early on but I got into the groove
and started feeling good."
While it seemed like Ashburn
had third wrapped up on the final
lap, Strang made his move and
the N-Fab AmPro Yamaha team-
mates dueled into the finish line
area. Strang edged out Ashburn
for third place by less than one
