fter a one-year hiatus in
2013, the AMSOIL AMA
Grand National Cross
Country Series presented by
Maxxis made its return to the
legendary Loretta Lynn Ranch
for round six of the 13-race se-
ries. While the cross-country rac-
ing action didn't utilize as much
of the motocross track as it has
in years past, the riders had a
unique opportunity to be a part
of history as only a select num-
ber of riders ever get to race the
coveted grounds of the Loretta
Lynn's motocross track.
Leading up to Sunday after-
noon, the track conditions were
dry and dusty with temperatures
in the mid-80s but things quickly
changed in the hour leading up
to the pro race as a storm rolled
through with heavy rainfall. In
addition to unexpected slippery
