wasn't good enough - he wanted
the win that he came so close of
getting.
"I pulled a holeshot and led for
a while," said Webb. "But there
was a rider down in the rhythm
section and I saw the yellow lights
flashing, so I rolled everything
and Dean was able to catch me.
We had a pretty good battle for
a while. I really wanted that win,
but to finish off the season with
a runner-up finish and a holeshot
was pretty good."
Wilson's teammate Justin Hill
lost second overall in the final
standings due to his third-place
finish in the race, combined with
Wilson's win.
"It was difficult for me," said
Hill. "I got a great start and I was
trying to run those guys down. I
felt like I had a really good pace
going but just a couple of things
happened. A couple of lappers
cross-jumped me and really
messed me up, and almost went
down. It was tricky and a lot of
James Stewart and Trey Canard
battle early in the 450 main. Stewart
ended up DNF'ing for the second
week in a row, dropping to fourth in
the final standings.
