STORM SCARE
The evening, however, could've
turned out a lot different. Earlier
in the day, during practice, a re-
peated announcement was made
over the stadium's PA system for
everyone to take cover in the
tunnels of the stadium because
of an impending severe storm,
which, luckily, never really mate-
rialized. Off and on rain showers,
however, delayed practice, and a
good soaking happened during
the 250 main. Yet, despite the
wet conditions, the MetLife track
held up extremely well.
"The track was really good,
I was actually really surprised
with how good it was," said Vil-
lopoto, who, like everyone else,
was competing for the first time
ever at the MetLife Stadium. "It's
not like we had a lot of rain, but
we definitely had rain and the dirt
held it very well, so it made it easy
to still jump all the obstacles."
