RAGA WINS IN JAPAN
G
as Gas' Adam Raga beat an
injured Toni Bou to win the
Japanese Grand Prix, round two
of the World Trials Champion-
ship. And he did so on Honda's
home ground in Motegi, beating
Bou on both days.
Bou, however, despite riding
in constant pain from his back in-
juries ended up second to main-
tain his lead in the World Cham-
pionship, though only by a single
point over Raga. Bou was injured
recently in a training accident.
"You cannot even begin to
think about the pain I have been
in during the two days of compe-
tition in Japan," Bou said. "After
day one I was not sure I could
ride the second day, but I knew
I had to compete to keep my
championship hopes alive. The
results are also very important to
the Repsol Honda team as it was
their home Grand Prix and I was
very happy to be on the podium
on both days. To come away
from these two days of competi-
tion still leading the World Cham-
pionship is more than I could
have asked for. I would like to
thank everyone who has helped
me to achieve this in the difficult
circumstances."
Sherco's Albert Cabestany fin-
ished third on the final day with
Bou's teammate Takahisa Fujina-
mi fourth in his home GP. Fujina-
mi finished third on the opening
day of the trial.

F
orget the quality of the video, it's the action
that makes this one worth watching. Sliding
scooters? Oh why not. Don't try at home. At
least not dressed like these guys.
