"I started out with a good start. The first and second loops, it was me, Jake, Ivan and Nick Burson all just back and forth all day," Brabec said. "I was third most of the day. The last 10 miles, I finally passed Ivan in the rocks. I came upon Jake when he was tipped over. That's where I passed him. "After that, luckily there was valleys and I just pinned it in the valleys to try to make my lead big- ger. It was a good day!" But it wasn't an entirely trouble- free ride for the Hoosier Preci- sion Machining/Dunlop/O'Neal- backed KX450F rider. "My chain Jacob Argubright also spent some time in front of the pack and ultimately crossed the finish line third but was awarded second.
