eryone behind him up a spot and
is expected to be appealed by
the FMF/KTM Factory Off-Road
Racing Team. That would make
results unofficial until the AMA
reaches a decision.
So unofficially, Brabec won the
race in two hours, 11 minutes and
55 seconds, a mere 25 seconds
ahead of Bel-Ray/FMF/Moose
Racing Husqvarna's Jacob Argu-
bright and four and a half minutes
ahead of Purvines Racing Beta's
Nick Burson, the winner of the
two previous rounds.
"I started out with a good start.
The first and second loops, it was
me, Jake, Ivan and Nick Burson
all just back and forth all day,"
Brabec said. "I was third most of
the day. The last 10 miles, I finally
passed Ivan in the rocks. I came
upon Jake when he was tipped
over. That's where I passed him.
"After that, luckily there was
valleys and I just pinned it in the
valleys to try to make my lead big-
ger. It was a good day!"
But it wasn't an entirely trouble-
free ride for the Hoosier Preci-
sion Machining/Dunlop/O'Neal-
backed KX450F rider. "My chain

crossed the finish
line third but was
awarded second.
