MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
ROUND 14/RELIANT STADIUM
HOUSTON, TEXAS/APRIL 5, 2014
P44
career title at Houston. Ander-
son came into the race leading
the championship by just four
points over Cole Seely and made
a quick statement by setting the
fastest lap times in practice. In
the heat race, however, he took
second to Seely, but in the final
when it really counted, Anderson
did what he had to do.
Anderson grabbed the start
and checked out, while Seely
was mired back a bit and was
being jumbled around with other
riders and even sustaining some
bike damage.
Anderson rode flawlessly
throughout the final and was
only challenged late in the race
by Monster Energy/Pro Circuit
Kawasaki's Dean Wilson, even
though he didn't know it. "I didn't
even know he [Wilson] was there
at the end."
Anderson would cross shortly
after for his fourth win of the sev-
en event series so far.
"It feels great and I'm hoping for
more of those in the next couple
of weekends," said Anderson.
"We're in a good spot and I see
good things coming. That start
killed it and I got to keep it going.
