off-road program became un-
known in 2011 and Strang knew
he could lose his ride, to no fault
of his own. Already under pres-
sure to win, Strang experienced
one thing after another during the
second half of the season, ulti-
mately ending it with a broken leg
at the season finale in Tennes-
see. It took the Australian-native
an entire season to recover and
he only raced one GNCC the
next year.
In 2011 it was all about Char-
lie Mullins, who conquered the
American Dream by earning his
first GNCC National Champion-
ship. However, Mullins made it
almost halfway through the sea-
son before his repeat champion-
ship hopes began to dissolve.
