championship isn't an
easy task, especially
a GNCC Championship. With 13
rounds of competition and ap-
proximately 39 total hours of rac-
ing through unpredictable condi-
tions and obstacles, it takes an
immense amount of focus, perse-
verance, and even a dose of luck
to make it through the full season
unscathed. In the AMSOIL AMA
Grand National Cross Country
Series presented by Maxxis, re-
cent history has proven that it's
much harder to defend a champi-
onship than it is to win one.
Just ask 2010 GNCC Cham-
pion Josh Strang who came into
2011 with a shiny number one on
