SUPERCROSS
MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
ROUND 12/MARCH 22, 2014
ROGERS CENTRE/TORONTO, CANADA
P60
The crowd started getting behind
Stewart once they noticed he
was into the top five and doing
things none of the other riders
were doing. He was fastest in the
whoops and passed a number
of riders there. He was jumping
a triple-triple section before the
finish that few were doing and he
masterfully conquered the long
rhythm section that was giving
most riders fits. Not to mention
that he was using the ruts to his
advantage.
"The track was super difficult,"
Stewart said. "It was soft and
slippery and a tough track, but I
felt it and had a little bit left for the
end."
Dungey caught up to Roczen
as well, as Stewart was moving
in, and Villopoto seemed to be
playing it safe and just riding his
own race, not pushing too hard
and trying to preserve points.
Brayton was the quiet one
and, although he started third
(Left) Adam
Cianciarulo had his
dislocated shoulder
tended to by the
Asterisk Medical crew.
Despite a courageous
effort, he eventually
had to call it quits.
(Below) Justin Barcia
(51) led most of the
450 main until Stewart
(7) came calling.
