CIANCIARULO: ST. LOUIS OR BUST
A
dam Cianciarulo says he
plans on racing next week-
end's 13th round of the Monster
Energy AMA Supercross Series
in St. Louis on March 29 - in-
jury or not. The Monster Energy/
Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Team rider
who dislocated his shoulder
twice during the Toronto Super-
cross on March 23, forcing him
to retire early from the 250 East
main event, says he's been down
this road before and feels he'll be
okay to race next weekend.
"I've had this injury before and
I know what it will take to come
back from it," Cianciarulo said.
"We might have a challenging
road ahead of us, but we'll do
everything we can to come out
strong next weekend and get
back into the mix with Martin
[Davalos] for the title. I'm con-
fident in my team and I'm confi-
dent in my program."
Cianciarulo endured the same
type injury during his amateur
racing days and will work on
strengthening the shoulder and
doing all the necessary therapy.
Cianciarulo lost the 250 East
Series points lead he had be-
cause of the DNF in Toronto and
is now chasing his teammate
Martin Davalos by four points
and is just one point ahead of
Toronto winner Justin Bogle of
the GEICO Honda team with just
three races left on the East 250
schedule.
Adam Cianciarulo
says he'll be ready
for the St. Louis
Supercross.

IN TEXAS
T
he dust has settled and the
roost has finally stopped fly-
ing at the James Stewart Spring
MX Championship at Freestone
County Raceway in Wortham,
Texas. After nearly a week's
worth of racing, many champi-
ons were crowned among the
1300 entrants.
Of the many title recipients,
none was perhaps more suc-
cessful than Missouri's Lance
Kobusch. The Monster Energy
Kawasaki-backed rider went
home with three titles and fin-
ished second in two other class-
es. Kobusch captured the gold
in the 85 (9-13), and (12-14) Limit-
