The win boosted Stewart to
third in the standings, one point
ahead of Ken Roczen, although
he's still 49 points out of the lead.
"A win always helps the motiva-
tion and we've got six weeks left
and I'll see if I can get second in
the points and break this tie with
Ricky and then we'll get ready
for outdoors," said Stewart. "My
season has been pretty solid so
far and I feel I'm riding the best
I've ever ridden, it just sucks to
kind of run into bad luck. This
shows if I can get a good start I
can win races."
DOING WHAT IT TAKES
With a healthy lead in the cham-
pionship point standings and with
just six rounds remaining, all Villo-
poto needs to do is be consistent
and finish on the podium and he'll
bag a fourth-straight Supercross
title. The fiery redhead, however,
was not too happy finishing sec-
ond behind Stewart and had little
to say after the race, other than
to bemoan a mistake he made
early in the race that let Stewart
get away.
"I got off to a good start and I
was riding pretty well, I just made

like the guys did a great job. We've
got a few things in the works, we're
trying to get a little better on suspen-
sion, and I think we can get ahead
of that curve as we get into those
races."
