FORD FIELD/DETROIT, MICHIGAN
P80
Martin, and I just tried to put as
much pressure on him right away
and, he ended up going down
and he almost took me with him,
but I snuck around the outside,"
said Cianciarulo. "Justin Bogle
started breathing down my neck
for 15 laps and it was a very dif-
ficult race, both physically and
mentally. We were pushing the
pace the whole race and I think
that's where my fitness paid off
and I think that won the race for
me."
At the 10-lap mark, Bogle
gained some ground on Ciancia-
rulo but when the two front-run-
ners met up with lappers, Cian-
ciarulo was able to pull away.
"I knew Justin was right be-
hind me, but I didn't know how
far," said Cianciarulo. "The lap-
pers were crazy near the end
and I thought I was going to get
passed, but I was able to stretch
it out near the end."
BOGLE MAKING MOVES
Bogle has been gaining momen-
tum in the series since the open-
ing round when he came from last
to finish fifth. His second at Detroit
was a personal best in the class.
