MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES VOL. 51 ISSUE 11 MARCH 18, 2014 P81 "That was my best race so far," said Bogle. "I finally put myself in good position after the start and I just paced off Adam and tried to make something happen. I was waiting on a mistake from him but nothing happened." There's no doubt that it's just a matter of time before the GEICO Honda rider ends up with his first win. "I'm making improvements ev- ery week and I'm looking to get up there on the top step at some point," said Bogle. "I just need another start like that or maybe a holeshot is what it's going to take. I just need to keep pushing." The third member of the Pro Circuit squad, Blake Baggett, got off to a terrible start, although he managed to chip away at the pack and eventually land on the podium, keeping his champion- ship hopes alive. THE LIFE OF BAGGETT "I just got a bad start and I was buried, so I just went to work - it's the story of Blake Baggett's life," he said. "I just tried to pick them off one by one, it was kind of like follow the leader out there, I just had to wait for guys to make a mistake and then try to capitalize on it." DOUBLE VISION Davalos started the evening pro- gram with a solid heat race win, leaving him with five heat race wins in five attempts. After grab- bing the holeshot in the main event, two crashes in the main event left Davalos with a disap- pointing sixth-place finish. "It was a tough night for me," said Davalos. "I struggled with my vision out there and I ended up crashing two times. I had a big crash in practice and I hit my head really hard, so it was tough." "I just slid out," explained Davalos. "It caught me off guard, and then I crashed over there again. But I'm lucky I finished and I'm still in the hunt, so I just have to keep going.' In the meantime, Kyle Cun- ningham turned in his best per- formance of the season with a solid fourth on a SmartTop/Mo- toConcepts Honda. "We showed up with a shock I've never ridden and it worked great," said Cunningham. "I got a decent start and ran near the front, but I tightened up after Baggett got around me, but I'm happy with the result." Cunningham took advantage of a crash by Gavin Faith and then passed Vince Friese on lap six en route to fourth. CN 450 Main 1. James Stewart (Suz) 2. Ryan Villopoto (Kaw) 3. Ryan Dungey (KTM) 4.
