of Mullins and defending GNCC
National Champion Kailub Rus-
sell, went down in a multi-rider
pileup in turn one with both rid-
ers forced to stop and straight-
en their bars before taking off.
FMF/KTM's Steward Baylor and
Factory Husqvarna's Andrew De-
long were down in the first turn
as well, setting up drama-filled
charges through the pack.
With sixteen XC1 Pros lined up,
the turn one chaos was only the
first of many obstacles through-
out the three-hour competition.
