Last year it was an emotional
win for Robinson who scored
his first National win after com-
ing back from grave injuries suf-
fered a few years earlier at the
Indy Mile. After his horrific crash
at Indy, Robinson wondered if he
would ever race again. At Dayto-
na's Short Track those memories
were washed away when Robin-
son broke through to score his
first career AMA Grand National
victory. It continued a Daytona
tradition of first-time winners dat-
ing back to the old Municipal Sta-
dium.
"This is a dream come true,"
Robinson said after the victory.
"Ever since I was a kid I dreamed
