Barcia got out of the gate in
third, the Team Muscle Milk Hon-
da rider holding the position until
Brayton went by on lap three.
"I got off to a really good start, I
think I started in fourth or so, and
I passed into third at one point,
but I just made a mistake on lap
12 I think," said Brayton. "I went
off the track after the finish and
messed up a whole section and
three guys got by me at once,
that's how close we are."
When Brayton went off the
track, that allowed Barcia back
into third, where he stayed for the
rest of the race.
"I definitely rode a little tight, I
wish I could have ridden the main
the same way I rode my heat,
but I'm back on the podium and
I'm happy with that," said Barcia.
"The track suited me pretty good.
It was pretty slick but we made
a lot of changes to the bike this
week and I think that helped a lot.
It was super slippery out there. It
was almost like Anaheim except
you had a few ruts and no rocks,
which was nice. But it was very
slippery and everyone was do-
ing the same stuff, so it was just
about putting in solid laps."
