providing them with short-term, rent-free living in
fully furnished, full amenities housing.
The service members and the families at the
Village were treated with a great turnout of racers
from the paddock including some of the top 450
guys - Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, and Justin
Brayton.
It was smiles all around for the athletes and the
fans at the village for this special event.
"We don't get to do things like this very often,"
Brayton said about the event. "It's a chance for us
to just say thank you to the troops and how much it
really means to us what they do. To hear their sto-
ries and for them to get excited to meet us… And
us get excited to meet them too and like I said, tell
them thank you. It was a really cool event. I'm glad
that Feld [Motorsports] put it together and that I
got a chance to do it."
Dungey also expressed his enjoyment of the
event and its importance.
"Experiences like this are pretty amazing,"
Dungey said. "It's cool that they put a roof over
their heads, they take care of them and try to help
them with payments - whether it's food or get-
ting their lives back on track. I think that's a really
cool thing because some people don't have fam-
ily members and relatives to do that. So it kind of
puts things in perspective, you realize how really
thankful you are."
