Hill, who had a strong race the weekend before at Anaheim II, suffered a broken collarbone and will be out of action for at least a few weeks, while Tickle suffered a sprained wrist, bruised palm and a jammed finger. His future race status is not yet known. Three-time AMA Grand National Champion (1982, 1984 and 1993), Graham is considered by many to be one of the most talented dirt-track racers ever. He won 39 career Grand Nationals, seven Sportster Performance Nationals and was the 1993 AMA Athlete of the Year. AMA Grand National history. A fifth-place in the Del Mar Mile in 1997 proved to be his final race as Graham was killed in a house fire in early 1998. Joining Graham in being inducted in 2014 are Ole Bardahl, Raymond Beadle, John Bishop, Arie Luyendyk, Marshall Teague and Rusty Wallace. The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America memorializes achievement in all forms of motorized competition. Over the years, 209 motorsports luminaries have been inducted.
