VOL. 50 ISSUE 48 DECEMBER 3, 2013 (Above) Henry made a return visit to the DITD and, once again, had everyone in awe. (Above right) What would DITD be without Jeff Ward tearing it up on the track? (Left) Scott Burnworth nearly takes out Doug Henry while in the middle of saving a high-side in the first turn. for the first time in 1998 by Hollywood stuntmen Kenny Alexander and Jim Roberts. The inaugural event took place at L.A. County Raceway and was basically a weekend for fellow stuntmen and friends to get together and let it all loose on the track. Legends motocrossers such as Broc Glover and Ricky Johnson lined up on the gate that day and the rest as they say is history. McElrath also talked about being away from his family on this Thanksgiving weekend. "It took me a while to get used to being on my own, but now everything's settled in," he said. "I got used to doing what I had to do out here and that helped out a lot. The team has been very welcoming to me, and I feel I fit in good on the team. They've provided for me anything I need. It's different out here being by myself, but the team makes it like it's at home. It's definitely different, but I like it." No matter whom a rider called family this weekend, the racers all enjoyed the friendly vibes in the pits, as thousands of people
