Argubright noted. After Morrow
passed him, Argubright tucked
in behind him, reasoning, "He
passed me and I let him go. It
was almost better just to follow
because you could just key off
people; there was no dust so you
could just keep right on them."
After Morrow led onto the final
loop, Argubright finally took control
for good. "We were going down
this hill and it made a sharp left
down a big hill. He blew it and I just
got right around him. I had maybe
10 miles left and that was it."
Blais Racing KTM's Howes
was almost six minutes back to
take fifth followed by Ryan Smith,

Austin Keys, Robert Underwood
and Kevin Barbosa.

into the main pits fourth, then
heading out on the second loop,
somehow Nick was behind me
and he passed me for a little bit.
"Then all of a sudden, I looked
back once and I saw Nick, Justin
and Jacob all, like, right behind
me! I didn't know how I got into
the lead!
"Justin and Jacob rode really
good; they just outrode us. I rode
in third most of the day and I had
one big crash on the last loop - I
just hit a rock I didn't see." That
relegated the FMF/TBT Racing/
Moose Racing 300 RR-mounted
Pearson to fourth at the finish, 43
seconds off the podium but still
his best National finish to date.
