Forty-five years ago, this all started
and we're working with the Storm [a minor league baseball that plays at Lake
Elsinore Diamond stadium, where the
race is staged], Lucas Oil and MAVtv to
make sure we never lose this.

'90s and early 2000s the businesses
on Main Street kind of rebelled, they
didn't want it on Main Street anymore.

down Main Street. We moved it off
Main Street and had it coming down
Prospect. All the residents were up in
arms and they didn't want it there. So,
after two years we had to stop that. We
took it down into the floodplains for
two years and then the riders rebelled
because they didn't get to go back on
the ridgeline. So starting five years
ago, working with the Storm and the
city, I was the lead for the city council
because I am the only one that races
