chance to ride a variety of Yamahas before they buy.
"I've heard a lot about this race and
this year it just worked into my plans,"
said Raines. "I was hoping to team up
with Robbie Reynard, but he was kind
of banged up so he suggested I team up
with Joiner, who just recently moved from
Kawasaki to Yamaha. We ended up having a good race and it was a lot of fun."
The Raines/Joiner team led every lap
of the three-hour race and finished just
over five minutes ahead of the KTMmounted team of Hudson Taylor and
Brendon Clark.
"The easy going nature of this race
makes it a lot of fun," added Raines.
"There's no stress and it's just a really fun
track to ride."
Meanwhile, 1970s and 1980s National
Local rider Kirk Cameron had a good
weekend, winning the Post Vintage
X-Country, Pro Supermoto, Vintage
Supermoto and Vintage MX classes.
